It became immediately evident to what my role & debt to the Universe was to be, very much like a light bulb turning on. Accepting that I was to become, a Doula at this particular point in my life was perfectly timed by the universe. Once I had set my mind & heart to "serving" women, God guided me to the path to fulfill my true purpose.
As a young girl my father John was the nurturer in the house. He did all the cooking, care taking, and carpooling while my mother worked at Loma Linda Hospital. He taught me how to serve others with love, kindness, and true sincerity. Thanks to his encouragement to stay true to myself and to be a strong, independent, and righteous young lady, I have become a woman I know he looks down upon and is proud of.
My first phone conversation of my Doula Journey was with Giuditta Tornetta, whom gave me such warm positive energy & wonderful recommendations. With her help my Doula-Venture led me to seek out training with Mrs. Ana Paula Markel. I was excited to learn all the amazing things she was and had been doing in the birthing community and speaking with her was such an inspiring moment to continue me efforts towards doulahood.
Upon completion of both my Birth & Postpartum Doula trainings, 2 months after my fathers passing, I cant help but feel grateful to my father for giving me that last push to do something for the world that's bigger than myself. Though my Doula Journey is just beginning, I have not only gained an amazing mentor and friend in Ana but a Doula Sisterhood--- full of women with great destinies to fulfill as well.
I am so honored and proud to announce that I am officially a certifiable ICEA&DONA trained Doula.
My Business "Little Kangaroo Doula Care" is dedicated this day to my amazing father:
