I’ve decided to test new waters and build my portfolio as a premier Doula hair specialist. I love hairstyling, I love making women feel beautiful and confident and I love babies. So I think it will be a perfect combination. I haven’t heard of a doula doing this yet and my hope is I will be one of many-- to come and care for all the needs of a new mother, yes even beauty pampering.

What is Doula hair care? It’s definitely not a hair appointment in a traditional sense of a session where you travel to a busy salon and spend precious hours away from your newborn all on top of paying salon prices and a sitter. To understand it, it’s best looked at as a “New Mamma’s Personal Hair Servant”. Don’t want to get out of bed? Body too drained to bother with a blow dryer , well that is where I am able to help.  In your everyday simple beauty tasks, that seems arduous as a new mother, I takeover for as long as you need.

As a principle, I support mothers with SelflessService . I believe in the “Give to Live & Live to Give” mentality. My mission is to care for the needs that will make your life easier as you further your journey into motherhood-Land. As for my credentials as a Birth & Postpartum Doula and in hairstyling - I’ve been a Licensed Cosmetologist in the State of California for over a decade. I have worked on many projects from films, commercial photo-shoots and star clients, One of which is a Huge inspiration to me and the global birthing community—Ricki Lake. plus of course I am a certifiable DONA & ICEA trained  Birth & Postpartum Doula, working alongside two dynamic birthing centers--- Bini Birth and The Birth Sanctuary (also featured in 'The Business of Being Born' I & II) where I am registered :) I began childcare when I was 9 years old in my church nursery and have been caring for and loving children ever since.

 

With a heart & gift to “nurture” I find my true purpose in serving the mothers of my community. So what I’m doing now is reaching out to mamas who want to ---and do claim back their birth experience, who want to make their own informed decisions and believe in their own strengths as a Woman, and know they deserve the support and care of a Doula. Because this experience will be so uniquely yours and special, I will be there to comfort you in whatever measure you may need at any given time, even if that’s just placing two french braids in your hair to lift your spirits up.

Postpartum Doula Care--You have me for 5 hours which gives me plenty of time to give you an after childbirth “beauty refresher” and provide postpartum care such as light housekeeping/laundry, meal preparation, etc.

This $99 service is valued at about $240 and 2 lucky Mammas will receive this special offer for just $37.50!  Additional Postpartum Doula Care hours may be purchased in a bundle package of 20 day-time hours to be used in the first 2 months, for minimum of 4 hours each day/night I am scheduled (see Postpartum Doula Care Package).
